New Website for Meredith & Company
A blend of elevated care and playful charm for a boutique LA nannying service
Tools & Tech: Built on Squarespace, Integrated TypeForm, Custom CSS
My Role: Website Designer, Graphic Designer, Copywriter, Userflow Expertise
When Meredith & Co.—a boutique nannying service based in Los Angeles—first approached me, their existing website didn’t reflect the personal, high-end experience they deliver to families. They were looking for a digital presence that not only felt elegant and exclusive, but also warm, whimsical, and welcoming.
My goal was to create a sleek, personality-rich site that mirrors their nurturing ethos. The final design refreshes their brand identity, incorporates custom illustrations, and simplifies the client onboarding process. The result is a website that makes connecting with trusted childcare feel effortless and heartfelt.
Project Overview
-
Meredith & Co. came to me with two main priorities:
Bring their brand to life online with a high-end, boutique aesthetic that still felt warm, friendly, and playful—just like their approach to childcare.
Streamline the onboarding experience for new families, cutting down on manual follow-ups and creating a process that builds trust from the first click.
-
Meredith & Co. had a strong visual starting point: a logo, a palette of soft pinks and deep reds, and a custom serif display font they loved called Seriously Nostalgic. They also envisioned using hand-drawn graphics—doodles, squiggles, and playful marks—to add personality and charm.
TYPOGRAPHY
I loved their vision and saw an opportunity to elevate it even further. I suggested using Seriously Nostalgic as a headline font, but explained it wouldn’t be ideal for paragraph copy due to readability concerns. To balance its flair, I introduced Montserrat as a body font—clean, modern, and easy to read. The pairing felt fresh and professional, and the M&Co. team immediately loved the combination.
COLOR
We leaned into their existing brand palette: soft blush tones for backgrounds and section dividers, which feel nurturing and tender; and a deep red used sparingly to draw attention to headlines and CTAs. This subtle color choreography reinforced the feeling of boutique care with a joyful twist.
GRAPHICS
To capture the “playful” feeling the client wanted, I created a series of custom graphics: squiggles, scribbles, dots, and blobs complemented with childlike doodles. These illustrations live throughout the site, adding delight without clutter. They evoke the innocence of childhood while maintaining the polish and intentionality expected from a premium brand. This was my favorite part of the process—translating playfulness into a visual language that still felt elevated.
-
The redesigned Meredith & Co. site now feels like a true extension of the brand: warm, welcoming, elevated, and full of heart. It invites families into a digital space that reflects the care and professionalism they’ll experience in real life.
By combining thoughtful UX, elegant visual design, and custom-crafted graphics, I helped M&Co. strengthen their digital presence, build trust with new families, and streamline their most critical process: making that first connection.
It’s a digital space that feels like the first warm welcome into their village of compassionate care.
